My BFF and I made a junk journal!

Yep on Tuesday night my Friend and I created our first Junk Journals. We had a blast Creating and I'm still working on mine and will probably be forever. I'm really enjoying stepping out of my card comfort zone. I will show you only a few pages of this so far and continue to work on it.

I made mine from a old hard back book and used Book binding rings to secure my pages.
I used Fabric Adhesive paper from DCWV to Create the cover, added a little lace Ribbon down the front, I used Gelatos in Green to color my letters on the front after applying a coat of Gesso from Grunge chipboard. I couldn't resist the title of my journal lol! It is a progressive journey for me to work on this journey. Just a few pages at a time.

I love going through my stuff and finding things that i'm not sure what i'll do with and just add it to this Journal. So you know that card that you just loved and couldn't part with? Add it to your journal and you can keep it forever.

Fabric Adhesive Paper
Lace Strip
Grunge letters for Sentiment with Gesso and Gelatos applied.

This is a old card front that I had made and loved but couldn't part with.

Scraps of white paper and a tag that I had, it is held on with a metal paperclip.

Scrap pieces of lace and ribbon work great for a project like this. Stickers that you want to use up.

This is Embossed butterfly rejects that weren't good enough for my project but perfect for here.

Old Square Envelope paper Embellished on the flap and other side with DP.

Die-Cuts that I had won from a challenge a long while back and hadn't used yet, Perfect for this journal.
This Junk Journal is nowhere complete but I hope that it has inspired you to create your own.

Wendy's Happy Birthday Blog Hop!

Good Morning!

When Wendy Wyman was just 4 years old, she announced that she was going to be an artist when she grew up.  Many years, and many sketchbooks later, she had earned a BFA in Graphic Design.

For the next 11 years found Wendy worked in advertising, freelancing, and ran a printing company.

And then it happened...Wendy's mom became a stamping addict, and the rest was history!  It was Wendy's mom's encouragement that led her to turn her illustrations into fine art rubber stamps.

Wendy's husband, Bill, was also looking for a career change, and jumped at the idea of learning a new skill.

And so....in 1996, Wendy Wyman, and her husband Bill Welsh established Repeat Impressions Stamps.  Each stamp is designed by Wendy, and manufactured by Bill in their home workshop!

Today, the design team for Repeat Impressions, the Rock Stars, have joined together
with a special hop for Wendy's Birthday!

Wendy loves ATC's, so we've changed things up - instead of cards, we all created ATC's for Wendy. They were mailed to Cheri, one of our Rock Stars, who has created a wonderful album for them, and sent them on to Wendy.

Wendy, you are one of the sweetest, and most generous people we know.
As a 'boss', rarely do we find ourselves on a team that is more professionally run,
or more organized!  You are so understanding of our personal issues, and it's a joy to work with you and your products!

We want to wish you a very Happy Birthday!
We look up to, admire and respect you.
May your day today be filled with love and laughter!

And remember....the more candles you have, the bigger the wish you are allowed!

Here are my ATC's for Wendy:

Project of the week for Repeat Impression Stamps- Stained Glass

Hi, Deonna here!
For my Project of the week, I've chosen to show you how to make a Stained Glass Window Card using this Awesome Repeat Impressions Rubber stamp called Stained Glass Window.

Supplies

Repeat Impressions Rubber Stamps 9401-N Stained Glass Window

Glaze Pens-Sakura of America
Acetate- (2) 4 1/4" x 5 I/2" sized
Staz-0n ink in Black

Acrylic Block

Scissors
Paper trimmer
Adhesive
Corner punch-Martha Stewart
Cardstock for frame cut to 4 1/8" x 5 7/8" size
Pencil
Foam mounting tape
White A5 Card base

1. Using Window Rubber stamp (mounted on your acrylic block) Stamp the image onto a piece of Acetate using Staz-on black ink twice. Remember to stamp straight down with even pressure because acetate is slick. Use your scissors and Cut out one of your windows. Then, set aside to use as a mask later.

2. Taking your second window stamped image, Turn this piece of acetate over to the backside once the Staz-on ink is dry. Using your Glaze Pens, Color in all the shapes on the backside of your acetate and then allow to dry completely.

3. While waiting for this to dry, take your piece of 4 1/8 x 5 7/8 sized cardstock and lay in front of you. Using the window mask that you previously cut out in step one, center it onto the cardstock and trace with your Pencil.

4. Cut from the inside of the frame out. Corner punch all four Corners of the cardstock. Apply scor-tape around the outside of the just cut out window shape.

5. Once your ink is dry on the backside of your window flip over the acetate and line up with the Cardstock window that you just cut out. Remove the paper from the score-tape and line up the colored acetate window onto your piece of cardstock. Trim your acetate so that it is not seen behind your cardstock.

6. Apply Foam Mounting tape Randomly to the backside of the cardstock around the outside of your colored window and mount to your White card base.

7. Mount your window onto your white Cardstock Card after removing the adhesive from the foam Tape.  I chose to Use a Corner punch on all four of the corners before mounting and then after mounting I rounded the Card base Corners.

8. Decorate as Desired. My Finished Card.

I would love to enter this card in the following challenges
