Be Bold like a Lion! Bible Art Journal page

I have another Bible Art Journal page to share today. I looked at a picture to draw this Lion and colored him with colored pencils.

  

Proverbs 28:1

"The wicked Run away when no one is chasing them, but the GODLY are as bold as Lions."

The Definition of Bold is;

not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff; courageous and daring:

What this tells me is that we must not be fearful when faced with our fears and run off. That we must stand firm in Gods word and in his protection.

Mixed Media Art Journal

It has been awhile since i did anything in my personal Art Journal, mixed Media Style.

I'm loving the Spring weather that we are having here in Indiana so i wanted to do create some

thing with a lot of color and personality. 

I did a watercolor background for this page and used Whipped Spackle by Faber-Castell and stencils to give them texture.  I colored the butterflies and flowers with Gelatos and then outlined them with a black PITT pen by Faber-Castell. I then took some tulle and used Mod Podge to attach it to the surface.
I used some Tim Holtz background stamps and some archival ink to stamp in various places.  The Word Beauty was cut out with my sizzix dies and black Cardstock. I then added some Whipped Spackle around the page.

Starting a new Venture- Bible Art Journaling!!!

After finding numerous ladies on the net that do Bible art Journaling and loving the results i ordered my new Inspire Bible from Amazon and couldn't wait to get Started.  

This is my first entry that i made on Apr. 10th. I love this! Not only do you get to spend time with God, you also get to use his gift of being artistic in your bible.  The Scripture on the side came in the bible but the picture i added myself.

I chose to start with the book of Jonah because everyone knows this story and it is so much fun to illustrate the story.

A Anniversary Card that i made

I've been in the mood lately to try different coloring mediums. I've started watercoloring some, using oil pastels like the card that i posted yesterday and today i've chosen to post a card using embossing folders and Metallic Lustre by DecoArt.

My Dads Birthday Card!

Yesterday was my Dads Birthday. After church, my family headed to see him and wish him a Happy Birthday.  This is the card that i created especially for him.  He has always loved to mushroom hunt so i felt that me making and coloring him some would be appropriate. As a child he would always say"AHA" when he would find one and my sister and i would go running to see if we could find it also. lol!

Yes i looked at a picture and drew these and then used Oil Pastels to color them.  Something new for me but a lot of fun!
