Window Envelopes for junk journals

I know, it's been awhile. This has been fair week and i feel like i've been running around a lot more than usual. I just want to be home crafting. lol
I still have the sewing machine out and going. lol. Check out my quilted window envelopes for junk journals that i've made. I just started a junk journal that looks really old in remembrance of my Grandmother who lived to be 100 years old. I have so many fond memories of her and so many things that she taught me when i was little.

I distressed regular envelopes for these and then added a die cut window to a distressed index card, printed my quilted/fall  image onto vellum and then placed  a book page behind that. Sewed along all four edges using a zig zag stitch and brown thread and glued down to envelope face.

Christmas in July Challenge and Blog Hop Celebrating our 175th Challenge!

You should have hopped here from  Ina Grehan's Blog

Welcome to our huge blog hop and celebration of Send A Smile 4 Kids’ 175th Challenge! The theme of our blog hop is Christmas in July 4 Kids because it is never too early to start making holiday cards for all the kids in the many children’s hospitals we now serve. We would love for each child to receive a holiday card as well as be able to pick some for special medical staff or loved ones they are missing during the holiday season.

We have 16 stops in the blog hop and at each stop you have one or two chances at winning just by leaving a comment. You can also earn a chance to win a prize by commenting on the blog post on our SAS4Kids blog and also by entering the Christmas in July challenge which starts July 21st and runs through August 3rd at noon.

Junk journal paperclips

Okay, today i thought that i would share some of my decorated paperclips that i made for my fishing journal, Christmas journal and my daughters college journal. My daughter brought her journal home so that we could work on embellishing hers. She has decided to start flying this next semester to be a pilot in the future instead of an air traffic controller so i thought that this stamped Airplane clip would be perfect for her change. These i made to hold down corner flaps within my junk journals.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Sorry everyone for the few posts that i've had lately. I've been working on 5, yes 5 junk journals and i've been "Junkin". I'm considering selling on etsy. I love to Goodwill/Thrift shop for vintage paper misc... and i'm starting to accumulate quite a bit. I also love to make junk journals so why not sell them?

I have a card to share today with all of you.
I watercolored this cow awhile back and now i've made a card out of it for my friend. Her husband has many heads of cattle and she always likes different things with cows on them.
Take a look

I drew and painted the cow on 140# Watercolor paper
