Project of the week for Repeat Impressions Stamps - Bible Art journaling page

Hi Everyone, Deonna here, with my Project of the week for Repeat Impressions Stamps.
Today, i would like to make a Bible Art page and walk you through it using Repeat Impressions Stamps. Bible journaling is my all new favorite thing to do lately. What a better way to memorize and study scripture then to create art with it.

Sometimes i like to prep my page, but since i'm using Inktense pencils and they only give a shadow to the back of the page, I've chosen not to. Otherwise i use Art Basics clear Gesso  to prep my page.

Supplies
Repeat Impressions Stamps-
Black ink- Ranger Archival
Inktense ink pencils by Derwent
Watercolor pen or Brush
Black pitt pen by faber castell for lettering
Pencil
Post it notes for Masking

1. Read your bible and choose a verse that you want to use as your emphasis for the page.  I've chosen, Psalm 42: 1. Mark off your Verse or Verses that you have chosen to use.  You can just use your pitt pen and mark around them, underline them, use a post it note to cover it while you stamp your images or just use a highlighter. Photo's 2,3

2.  Arrange your stamps on the page where you want them to be. Using Black Permanent ink,(I use Archival or Stazon) stamp your first image (deer) onto he bible page and then stamp the image again onto a post it note (some kind of adhesive backed paper) and cut the image out. Place the mask over the deer and stamp the water scene onto the bible page.

3.  After your Stamped images have been stamped where you desire, you can now add your text/verse to the page.*** I generally practice this on a piece of Scrap paper before i actually use a pencil and write it onto the page. Once i'm happy with it i outline it with my black pitt pen and erase the pencil marks that i can still see.

4.  After adding the text to the page, you may color your image with whatever medium that you desire.  I've chosen inktense ink pencils in this case because i love how bright and bold they are when activated with water.

5.  After i have completed the coloring, i generally add where i found the verse in the bible.
Psalm 42:1 and add the date to the bottom of the page with my date stamp when my project is complete.
Now you have a beautiful piece of Art right in your bible.

I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial!
