Project Of The Week for Repeat Impressions stamps-Painters Tape Background

It's my turn ( Deonna) to show you a Project of the Week for The House that Stamps Built for  Repeat Impressions Stamps and i've chosen to do a tutorial on
How to Create a Easy Background using Painters Tape

Supplies

Painters Tape
Stampin'up Ink Pads (3) Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke and Close to Cocoa
Black Distress ink-Ranger
Cardstock in 4-1/4"x5-1/2"
Rubber stamps- Repeat Impressions
2714-D, Small Pine Forest
9516-D A Message
Acrylic Block

1. Gather Supplies. Tear 3 pieces of painters tape approx 5 inches long. I then stick them to the stamp pads that you will be using for your background.

2. Taking one color at a time, remove the tape and open the stamp pads. Press the sticky side of the tape onto the ink pad, running your fingers up and down the tape to cover with ink.* You may have to pick up the tape and move it down.

3. Apply the piece of tape that you just inked up onto your cardstock where desired.

4. Repeat the process using the other 2 colors of ink.

5. Remove the tape and you should see the desired colors on the cardstock.

6. Ink up your first stamp using the black distress ink and apply over the bottom color or the Card. On my card it is the color brown and the "Deer Family Silhouette" stamp was used.

7. Next, repeat step #6 using the second stamp. In my case, i used the "Small Pine forest" stamp and stamped it twice on each side of the Card.

8. Repeat Step #6 using your third stamp. I used the "Large Pine Tree" stamp from Repeat Impressions in the Center.

9. Your base card is now complete. Design and Decorate your card as desired. (See Completed Photo Above)
