My sons Birthday card with an elk in alcohol inks

Today is my Sons 18th Birthday. Wow that went fast. He's had the privilege of Elk hunting with his Dad this past week and the good news is -They Both shot an elk! Amazing!!!

Deer Painted with Alcohol ink on yupo

I thought that i'd share a deer that I painted today with alcohol inks. Painting with alcohol inks is not always easy. If you've ever used Adirondack, Tim Holtz or Jacquard bottled alcohol ink you'd know that they have a mind of their own sometimes. lol. With that Said I'm determined to master them.

I found a deer photo in one of my sons hunting magazines to use as a reference.  I decided to give it a go. I did draw this deer using a reference photo first. Then using a small paint brush I painted the alcohol inks onto yupo paper. I'm planning on making this into a card.

Last Mother's Day card with alcohol inks

I have one last Mother's day card to share today. To Create this card i used Tim Holtz alcohol ink. I even used the butterscotch ink to stain the white lace below.  I doodles the flowers with a black faber- Castell PITT pen, added some misc... bling to the centers and created the card.

Hi Friends, I made a card today using a hummingbird that i drew using a reference photo from my "Art of watercolor" book.  I used half of my homemade alcohol inks and a couple Ranger alcohol inks ( black and brown) from my stash.

Alcohol ink flower

Well I broke out those alcohol inks and there's no going back now. lol! My room is finally where I want it to be and I can now get to all of my Crafty Goodies to create. I just had to get the feat accomplished before I could start creating again or i'd never finish it.

Alcohol inking- So much fun!

I've broke out those alcohol inks that i've had in my drawer for awhile. As you probably know if you follow me, i go through stages in my creativity. lol. 

To create this background i used my Tim Holtz alcohol inks. I first layed down the color and then stamped the flowers over the top. I had to do it that way because even though i was using Staz on ink they would smear from the alcohol. The stamps that i used i picked up at the Heirloom Pro show a few weeks ago called "Forever in time" along with my Tim Holtz flowers that i had in my stash.
