Bible Art Journaling- Exodus 17:6

Hi everyone, sorry that i've been missing lately.  I have so much on my plate right now and just trying to survive.  My daughter moves to an apartment this week.  She has College orientation on Friday.  I've scrapbooked 28 pages for a friend, canned 7 quarts of beans and cleaned my craft area. Wow, what a week it's starting to be. lol
today i'd like to share another Bible art page with all of you. I did draw the scene my self and watercolored it with pencils.  The letters are stickers . This is a message of faith.

Exodus 17:6
Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
The Lord answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. And he called the place Massah[a] and Meribah[b] because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the Lord saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”

Bible art Share Using Psalm 50:11

While my family was on Vacation back in June in Montana. This is one of the verses that i chose to do while there.

 Psalm 50:11
"I know that every bird on the Mountains, and all the Animals of the Field are HIS."

This is a good reminder to me daily. The Things around us are not "ours", but everything is his. God Created everything. Can you imagine a world with no birds or animals to enjoy? I think daily when waking up and hearing the beautiful birds sing in the yard. I love that! I can't imagine not having them.
We should care about all things, respect and appreciate them.

I looked at a coloring book photo of a toucan to draw this image on my bible page.  Most of the verse is my writing except for the "HIS" and i used a black sticker for that. The bird was colored with watercolor pencils.

Bible Art using Psalm 51:10- A clean heart

Hi friends, today i would like to share a bible art journal page.
Psalm 51:10
"Create in me a clean Heart O God Renew a loyal spirit within me"

This verse is one that was already in my Inspire Bible so i decided to use it today. I drew the watering tub with the board and soap below. I used my Water colored pencils to color this drawing.

Bible Art using Galatians 5:22- The Fruit of the Spirit

Hi Everyone, I thought that i'd share a bible art journaling page today with all of you.
Happy Mother's day to all those Mother's out there!
Galatians 5:22
"But the Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and Self-Control; against such there is no law."
I can honestly say that, I really struggle with a couple of these and REALLY need to work on them.

Once again i drew the fruit by looking at  photos and colored the fruit with watercolor pencils.
Just remember that it's not what you create in your bible. It's about spending time in the word and meditating on it.  You do not have to be an artist to portray what you are feeling when reading these words. You can always use stickers, die cuts, Margin strips or any kind of media for your bible jounaling.

"But ask the animals, and they will teach you. or the birds of the air and they will tell you;or speak to the earth, and it will teach you or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of these do not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?"

Once again i drew this hummingbird from looking at a picture

Bible Art using Psalm 119:103

Hi Everyone, i have another Bible Art Journaling page for today using Psalm 119:103

"How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth."

I've been in some turmoil lately with my heart. Reading God's words seems to always uplift my spirits.  There is just so much to read and learn and so many new things that you can find even reading the same scripture over and over.

I drew the picture of the honey jar and the bees on this page looking at a photo from a coloring book that i  have.  I also hand wrote the scripture down the side this time.

Project of the week for Repeat Impressions Stamps - Bible Art journaling page

Hi Everyone, Deonna here, with my Project of the week for Repeat Impressions Stamps.
Today, i would like to make a Bible Art page and walk you through it using Repeat Impressions Stamps. Bible journaling is my all new favorite thing to do lately. What a better way to memorize and study scripture then to create art with it.

Sometimes i like to prep my page, but since i'm using Inktense pencils and they only give a shadow to the back of the page, I've chosen not to. Otherwise i use Art Basics clear Gesso  to prep my page.

Supplies
Repeat Impressions Stamps-
Black ink- Ranger Archival
Inktense ink pencils by Derwent
Watercolor pen or Brush
Black pitt pen by faber castell for lettering
Pencil
Post it notes for Masking

1. Read your bible and choose a verse that you want to use as your emphasis for the page.  I've chosen, Psalm 42: 1. Mark off your Verse or Verses that you have chosen to use.  You can just use your pitt pen and mark around them, underline them, use a post it note to cover it while you stamp your images or just use a highlighter. Photo's 2,3

2.  Arrange your stamps on the page where you want them to be. Using Black Permanent ink,(I use Archival or Stazon) stamp your first image (deer) onto he bible page and then stamp the image again onto a post it note (some kind of adhesive backed paper) and cut the image out. Place the mask over the deer and stamp the water scene onto the bible page.

3.  After your Stamped images have been stamped where you desire, you can now add your text/verse to the page.*** I generally practice this on a piece of Scrap paper before i actually use a pencil and write it onto the page. Once i'm happy with it i outline it with my black pitt pen and erase the pencil marks that i can still see.

4.  After adding the text to the page, you may color your image with whatever medium that you desire.  I've chosen inktense ink pencils in this case because i love how bright and bold they are when activated with water.

5.  After i have completed the coloring, i generally add where i found the verse in the bible.
Psalm 42:1 and add the date to the bottom of the page with my date stamp when my project is complete.
Now you have a beautiful piece of Art right in your bible.

I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial!

Bible Art Journaling- Genesis 22:17 Abraham's faith tested

What a yucky day that it is here in Indiana! We've had rain for the last 14 hours at least and expected all day and through tomorrow.  I need the sun to come out. lol.
Anyway, i have a simple Bible art journaling page to share today using Genesis 22:17 which says:
"I will surely bless you and multiply your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the Seashore."
The verse on the right of the page was already written out in my Inspire bible so all i need to do was color it.  I drew the stars on the page and colored them and the background using my inktense pencils. I also added some star washi tape to the top of the page for more decoration and color.

Bible Art Journaling using Psalm 91:4

Yes, I would like to share a bible art journaling page with all of you today using Psalm 91:4
It Says:
"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield."

I drew these feathers looking at a picture in My Complete guide to bible art journaling. I colored them with my Watercolor pencils and wrote the verse on the page.

Bible Art Journal page using John 15:12

Hi Everyone, I have another Bible Art Journal page to share today. It comes from John 15:12
" My Command is this: Love each other as i have loved you." Pretty simple and Direct, Right? Well maybe not always Simple.

To Create this page i looked at my Complete Guide to Bible Art Journaling book to draw the cute little Owl and the heart banner.  I created the words myself and i added all of the bubbles to give my page a little more pizzaz and color.  All of the images were colored with my inktense pencils by Derwent. I just love these pencils. They  are so vibrant once you add water to them and they are ink instead of paint. The only downfall about them is that you cannot move the color once they are dry.

Challenges that i'd like to enter with this page includes:

I've really been reading and Studying about Jesus. The Trial Before Pilate, The mocking of Jesus, the crucifixion, the death, burial of Jesus and of course the Resurrection. While i was reading Mark 15 and 16 i chose to draw my take of Jesus. and what better sentiment than "Jesus is the Way". Take a look at my Bible art journaling page that i created.

This picture i drew from another picture that i found in a Christian Clipart Book. I used a black pitt pen to fill in the shadows of Jesus. The Cross was covered with inktense pencils and the background was watercolored in Blue.
